Fishing Reports

East Galveston Bay fishing is steady despite all of the fresh water run-off. Good numbers of trout and redfish coming from shorelines and bay reefs.

We had strong winds from the north, northeast, east, and southeast this week along with rain every other day. But when wind was down, excellent numbers of trout on bay reefs free-lining live croaker.

Excellent fishing reported from East Galveston Bay, North Jetty, and around Fort Travis areas when weather cooperates with anglers. We had excellent numbers of trout from bay reefs.

High tides and poor water conditions hurt fishing on the front side of the week. But mid-week through the weekend had excellent numbers of trout on shorelines of East Galveston Bay and on mid-bay reefs.

Good numbers of trout early in the week but fishing slowed mid-week with more rain and high winds.
