East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

As we head into our springtime patterns, everything is right on track - just need some good weather. We have had some great days on the bay when we get a good southeast wind. Good numbers of keeper trout and slot reds are coming in from shorelines and marsh drains with muddy shell mixed in. Bay reefs are holding fair numbers of keeper trout (16-18 inches) and getting better. The water temperature has hit that 70 degree mark and the fish are getting more active. I look for fishing to just get better as the winds and the tides improve. Live bait is available on Bolivar Peninsula but call first.

Until next week, see you on the water. Capt Ronnie
