East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Great weather along the Upper Texas Coast made for some good fishing along the shore lines and bay reefs.  We fished the shoreline from Siever's Cut to the Bolivar Ferry and found good numbers of trout (15-22 inches) and reds (20-40 inches) using live croaker.  We also had fair numbers of nice flounder on live shrimp.  With the tide high in the mornings, we fished close up to the salt grass with both croaker and shrimp.  The bay reefs are holding fair numbers of bigger trout and we used the same baits.  If you like to fish the birds, there are a lot of them.  The fish are running small but some groups have nice trout under them along with some very nice sand trout.  Until next week, see you on the water.
