East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

In between the cool fronts, the marsh along the Bolivar Shoreline is loaded with nice reds and flounder.  From Stingeree Cut to Rollover Pass, the redfish are stacking up at marsh drains and lakes.  We are using live shrimp and some soft plastics.  Large flounder are on the move in great numbers and are coming from Rollover Pass areas and the Bolivar shoreline around Siever's Cut and the bait of choice is finger mullet and Gulps.  The Bird Island area is holding some nice trout and we have been fishing up next to the rocks with live shrimp about 3 feet down.  With more cold front coming down, watch the weather and be careful.  We hope that you and your families have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.  Until next week, see you on the water.
