East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Last week we only fished a few days.  With high winds and low tides in the early morning, we had to wait until conditions improved mid-morning and we were able to bring in good numbers of reds (21-24 inches) and a lot of trout (15-17 inches).  We fished marsh drains and lakes from Stingaree Cut to Marsh Point using live shrimp under a popping cork in about 3 feet of water.  Just took the trolling motor and hit all of the marsh drains and cuts.  Reds are holding in the same areas.  Flounder fishing is still holding great around the Rollover Pass area using live mullet.  Until next week, see you on the water.
