East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

With the arrival of the cold front and all of the rain ahead of it, coastal anglers had to really work for their catches.  Fish were brought in from Rollover to Stingaree to the shorelines and the bait of choice has been live shrimp and soft plastics.  The flounders have been caught using live mullet.  Live bait - both shrimp and croaker - are available at most of the bait camps on Bolivar Peninsula.  Once the weather straightens out, we can get back into our regular patterns and the fishing will heat up again.  Those that do venture out, keep an eye on the weather.  Until next week, see you on the water.
