East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Here on the upper Texas coast, our winter pattern is in full swing with cold fronts rolling through about every 3 to 4 days.  In between the fronts, waders along the shorelines in the back of East Bay are catching some good stringers of trout mixed with some nice slot reds.  Most of the fish are coming from the Yates Bayou area to Marsh Point fishing mud flats and marsh drains using soft plastics and Corkies.  Just start fishing about 150 yards on the outside of the bayous or cuts and work your way into the mouth of it. There are large pods of bait fish along the shorelines so look for nervous bait on top.  Fishing should remain good til the next front arrives. Until next week, see you on the water.
