East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Last week the heavy sea fog put a stop to most morning fishing along our coast line.  We have been fishing later in the mid afternoons and catching fair numbers of trout and reds along the north shoreline around the Richard's Reef area in the muddy shell mix.  The Smith's Point area around into the Trinity Bay side past Double Bayou has also been holding good numbers of fish using slow sinking plugs drifting or wading.  Look for pods of shad and mullet.  Also, for the bank fishermen, the redfish and black drum are hitting at Rollover Pass on cut bait.  Until next week, see you on the water.
