East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Warmer weather last week had fish on the move.  Good numbers of nice trout along with a red or two are coming from the areas around Yate's and Big Pasture Bayous.  Large pods of mullet are staging at the mouths of the cuts and bayous on incoming tides. Work the deeper side where the mud and shell mix with slow sinking baits.  Just be patient.  Fish are a little sluggish with the cooler water temps.  The upper end of Trinity Bay is holding good numbers of keeper trout (15-18 inches) on soft plastics in areas around Barnett Bay in 4-6 feet of water.  Just remember to slow down your presentation of your bait.  Until next week, see you on the water.
