East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

The south-southeast winds along the coast helped raise the tide levels to more normal levels which had fish more active along the deeper parts of the south shoreline and in bayous from Siever's Cut to Marsh Point.  Slow sinking baits are working well along with some action on topwater.  Reds are stacking up along shorelines and marsh lakes.  Just look for nervous mullet schools.  Live shrimp is also working on the trout but they are running small - 14 to 16 inches.  Rollover Pass is holding fair numbers of nice reds and black drum for the bank fishermen and waders and this should get better in the weeks to come.  Live shrimp is available on Bolivar Peninsula but call first.  Until next week, see you on the water.
