East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Strong storms hit the coast a few times last week with 40+ mph winds and heavy rain.  We were only able to fish 3 days.  Most of the fish came from the shorelines of East Galveston Bay along the salt grass and marsh drains.  We caught a few nice reds and keeper trout in the 15-17 inch range.  One of the days we got a break in the wind and fished the bay reefs and we had good numbers of nice trout in the 18-24 inch range on live croaker even in the dirty water.  Look for fishing to get right back on track when the weather settles and the water clears.  We do have live croaker on Bolivar Peninsula but call first.  Just a reminder that the CCA Star Tournament has started so be sure to enter you and your kids.  You just never know.  Until next week, see you on the water.
