East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Weather along the coast finally gave anglers a good week of fishing. East Bay is in great shape and producing good numbers of keeper trout on bay reefs. We are using live shrimp under a popping cork about 3 feet deep. Birds are working in the east end of the bay and trout under them are small but fun to catch. The shorelines are holding fair numbers of nice reds and a few trout. Fishing is just getting better as we move into summer patterns. Bait camps have live croaker and the fish are starting to eat them more consistently and it will just get better. Rollover Pass has green water right out front and it should come in with a tide change or two. Don't wait until the last minute to book your bay fishing trip for your family vacation - days are filling fast. Until next week, see you on the water.
