East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Well, the fishing along the 27 miles of shoreline along the peninsula has been good. With strong SW wind keeping most anglers out of the middle of the bay, we have been fishing the marsh drains and rocks along the south shoreline. The trout and reds have been feeding on the incoming tide on live shrimp fished under a popping cork about 2ft deep. We also still have some big drum in the 10 lb. range roaming around. Look for nervous mullet and the fish are there. Looks like stormy weather coming in for the first part of the week but look for fishing to heat right back up on bay reefs and rocks. Be safe and take a kid fishing soon. Until next week, see you on the water.
