East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Summer time is here and fishing in East Galveston Bay is red hot! Bay reefs are stacked with bait fish and holding good numbers of nice trout in the 2-4 lb. range on live croaker. We are still free-lining them over muddy shell. The redfish action is still good along the shorelines and around marsh drains and shell. The tides are moving good in the mornings and the fish are feeding as it rises. The bird action is going good with good numbers of trout feeding under them along with some big gafftop. As we head into summer fishing, with more anglers on the bay, please remember to be courteous to other boats around you and be safe. Until next week, see you on the water.
