East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

After a stormy week along the coast, our fishing rebounded fast. With good strong tides, the fresh water didn't stick around long. The water in East Bay is in great shape and the fishing is good. We had some nice boxes of trout and reds taken from the shorelines and marsh drains. There are some small trout mixed in with the keepers ranging 16-18 inches and some reds running 20-22 inches. When the wind will let us go out there, the bay reefs are holding good numbers of nice trout in the 20-24 inch range on live croaker. As the wind lays down look for East Bay to get even better. Live bait is available on Bolivar Peninsula but call first.

Until next week, see you on the water. Capt Ronnie Scheck
