East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

The fishing in East Bay has been great! With light winds and good tides, the mornings and afternoons have been very productive. We have had good to great numbers of nice trout fishing the deeper reefs with live shrimp and croaker. We had to dodge some rain showers but that didn't slow the bite down. We are fishing under a popping cork about 3ft down with live shrimp or croaker. We are also working big schools of reds in open bay areas if the wind is light. The outlook for next week looks good if the weather will work with us. Live bait is available on Bolivar Peninsula but call first. We have a few days still available in September so don't get left on the dock. Until next week, see you on the water.
