East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Storms all week but fishing remains steady with light winds. We have been fishing the deeper reefs and boxing good numbers of nice trout in the 17-20 inch range. There is a lot of bird action along the north shoreline and should just get better as we go into the fall pattern. Some of the trout are small but there are some good ones mixed in. The shorelines are holding good numbers of slot reds (20-25 inches) and we are still using live shrimp under a popping cork. When the rains stops, look for fishing to pick up even more. We still have a few days left in October so don't miss out on the action.

Until next week, see you on the water. Capt Ronnie Scheck
