East Galveston Bay, Bolivar Peninsula Fishing Report

Spring time is coming soon with our longer than normal winter this year. But it will be gone soon (hopefully) and I'm ready for some of that spring time fishing action and the warm mornings on the bay watching the sun peaking over the marsh in East Galveston Bay, Weather this last week was not great for the coastal anglers - fog, strong north winds, rain and even some hail. I look for the fishing to get right back on track when the weather settles and tides go back to more normal levels. There are good amounts of bait fish that are staging along the shorelines and marsh drains along the south shoreline of East Bay and the fish are there. Just fish the deeper parts of the shorelines around drop-offs and muddy shell. We have had good numbers of reds and trout when we can get out safely. Also the drum action is going hot and heavy for the kids looking to have a good fight reeling them in. Spring Break is right around the corner and we are looking forward to seeing everyone. We do still have a few days available in March so plan your family's bay fishing trip with us. They will love it!

Until next week, see you on the water. Capt Ronnie
